Registered participants are welcome to camp on the property in a tent, a hammock, or van (but not an RV) for no additional fee.
Campers must bring all of their own gear (tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, etc) and be responsible for their own comfort. Om Oasis is located in a Redwood forest in the mountains and it can be very chilly at night. Rain in May is not impossible. Fog regularly rolls up the mountain and deposits moisture everywhere (The redwoods pull 2/3 of their water from the air, this is how they grow so tall with shallow roots!) If you would like to camp, please plan accordingly with preparation for your comfort in such conditions.
We look forward to sharing communal vegetarian meals based on locally sourced whole foods prepared fresh and blessed with love. As food is medicine and an integral part of the Thai medicine tradition, we look forward to weaving the themes of the class into the menu, including some possibility to weave our coursework together with the meal preparations.
In addition to eating together, we also provide a stocked tea house available all hours near the garden for community use.
